Buffalo Legacy Publications is a press dedicated to publishing some of the Western New York area's finest writers. It was founded in 2014 by Patricia Tansey, also a poet, who edited BLP's first publication, A Celebration of Western New York Poets, an anthology of 94 of the Buffalo area's most prominent poets.  Photographs and short artistic biographies are included in each author's segment, and the preface, written by Ms. Tansey gives a brief history of Western New York's poetry scene from the 60's and 70's to the present.  It also gives a brief introduction to the authors, emphasizing the unique qualities of their work, and discussing them in the context of the part of the literary scene they emerged from.
