A program of the University Heights Arts Association that provides graphic art services to local non-profits or for community initiatives.
TheARTskills program contributes graphic arts services such as pamphlets, posters and calendars to selected area initiatives. By coordinating competent designers with programs in need, we provide grassroots community programs with a much-needed service while also offering emerging artists experience.
Current Initiatives
Samuel P. Capen Garden Walk: provides an annual wall calendar which their garden committee uses to raise money for the Christine Brooks Memorial Fund. ARTskills are also used in coordination with the UHAA's Beauty in Our Backyard Garden Art Competition to provide the garden walk with their official garden walk poster.
Northwest Tour of Gardens: ARTskills are used in coordination with the GardenVisions competition to provide the Northwest Tour of Gardens with their official garden walk poster.
"Soil, Seeds & Secrets", which utilizes garden art, illustration, photography, painting, poetry and prose to tell the stories of local community members. (Soil, Seeds & Secrets is part of the ARTseeds program of the UHAA.
